Querying contracts

Robin AI’s Query module allows you make sophisticated searches across your contracts based on the data contained in their labelled clauses. For example, you can search for contracts that, for example, are NDAs, with a certain counterparty, or that expire within a certain date range. Any labels that you apply to clauses can then be searched across using this tool.

  1. To query your contracts:
  2. Navigate to the Query page by clicking on the Query menu item in the left sidebar.
  3. Click into the Start a Query search field.
  4. Start typing the clause type you’d like to search by. When the clause you’re looking for appears in the dropdown box, select it by clicking on the checkbox to the left of it in the list.
  5. You can ‘stack’ searches. That is, you can continually keep adding clause types to filter by to make your searches more granular.
  6. Hint: You can filter your contracts by values that have been applied to labelled clauses. For example, you can not only search for contracts that have a Term clause, but for contracts that have a Term of 2 years.
  7. As you build your Query, the list of contracts will automatically start being filtered by the contracts in your database.
  8. You can view a list of the contracts that match your Query results, and click through them to preview their contents.
  9. You can then download a list of the search results for further action by your team.
